Red Leather Cabinet (1935)

#1925

 

A two-door “Paper Holder” cabinet, reference #52132; the cabinet body covered in bright red Moroccan leather; framed in Japanese black lacquered Hungarian white oak and raised on a matching rectangular pedestal; featuring details and hardware in gilt bronze, with a gilt bronze keyhole cover bearing the initials “AP” and the year "1935."

The lacquerwork was completed by Katsu Hamanaka (1895-1982).

Branded with maker's mark and the number "1"
